Mrs A has Dementia and mobility issues and is cared for at home by her husband. They have struggled financially and needed signposting for benefits support.
Financial pressures added to difficulties around their daily lives such as washing clothes, but also to their special one on one time together as Mr A found pushing his wife in a wheelchair up the inclines on their road a challenge. They were seeking help to secure a light weight wheel chair and a washing machine.
What was put in place to help:
The Care Navigator introduced them to possible benefits they could access which would potentially help with the provision of these life enhancing items.
How things are working now:
Some funding has been successfully accessed and, with it, a lightweight wheelchair and therefore a much happier couple.
